That's fine - we support worldwide purchasing. The amount you will pay depends on current local currency exchange rates. The credit card processor will handle the local currency exchange at the time of purchase.
Yes. If you need to purchase the test on behalf of others, we will issue you with voucher codes that can be used once by each individual taking the test. Please note that if you wish to take the test yourself after making multiple purchases, you will need to log in using one of the voucher codes via the test home page.
Your certificate is valid for 18 months from date of issue. Please note the issue date is in US-date format mm/dd/yyyy so 01/10/2009 denotes the 10th of January 2009. Such a certificate would expire on the 10th of September 2010.
Congratulations on passing the test; your certificate will be available for you to download from your test account shortly. Please log into your account and click on the link under 'Certificate of Achievement' to access your certificate.
You'll need to download the latest version of Adobe Reader (v. 9) to view /print your Certificate of Achievement.
The phone number is required for credit card verification purposes. Google does not store this information.
If your postal address has no zip code, simply type in any 5 digit number.
This site has been tested on most major browsers, including Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Firefox. Both Windows and Macs are supported.
In addition to having a computer that supports one of the required browsers, you will need to have a color monitor capable of displaying 800x600 with 32-bit color. For best results, use a 17” or larger monitor that supports 1024x768 resolution.
You can take the test using a dial-up modem, but the performance will be slower. For an optimal experience tests must be taken using a broadband connection, such as DSL or a cable modem.
No. All answers are saved each time you go to the next question. When you restart the test will start on the question that was displayed when you crashed.
Some browsers pop-up blockers will keep a test from starting. If the test doesn’t start when you click the link, then you will need to disable your pop-up blocker for this site.
For example, in Internet Explorer running on Windows XP, click on the "Tools" menu, choose "Pop-up Blocker" and then select "Pop-up Blocker Settings". On the screen which opens, enter the site address "*.starttest.com" into the "Address of Web site to allow" box and click the Add button. Repeat the process to add the site address "*.starttest2.com" to the list of allowed sites. After adding both sites, click "Close" and the browser will now allow pop-ups from those sites.
If you are using the Google toolbar to block pop-ups, simply open the testing site and click the toolbar button which displays the number of sites blocked. This will enable pop-ups on that site only.
Check to see if you have a utility installed that blocks popup advertisements. These utilities may stop the test window from opening. If you do have a utility installed, either remove it, or turn it off while you are using the site. If you are not sure, hold the control key down when you click to start the test. Many of the utilities will temporarily turn off using this method.
Dual monitor system using a laptop LCD panel as an extended desktop will have a problem opening popup windows (which is how the test is displayed). You will need to configure the operating system to only have one active video monitor. A symptom of this problem is that the test window will show in the tasks running, but the window cannot be opened. This is an Internet Explorer limitation only.
If you have anti-virus or firewall software installed on your machine, it may be interfering with the test delivery. This software may be a stand-alone application such as Norton or may be part of your operating system. Most of these packages allow you to configure them to allow access to sites you approve as safe. Please refer to the help component of your anti-virus or firewall software for further assistance. For Windows users, you can try hitting F5 to refresh the screen. You can also press <Alt-F4> to close the test.
If you have a fast Internet connection, and questions are taking more than five seconds to load, then verify that you do not have performance problems connecting to other sites. If you believe it is a problem with our site, please let us know by sending a message to googlesupport@testsys.com.
You probably have a caching problem. Make sure that your browser is configured to automatically check the server for the latest page. From the Internet Explorer options menu “General” tab, click the “Settings” button where it says “Temporary Internet files”. Configure the software to automatically check for newer versions of stored pages. This is the default setting for the browser.
If you use Internet Explorer or AOL, then you will need to disable the content advisor to use the site. This feature is disabled by default.
If you cannot find an answer, please contact technical support at googlesupport@testsys.com and we will be happy to assist you. Email support staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm EST.
